Information for Homeowners Interested in Participating in Livingston Parish Mitigation Program(s)
The Livingston Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (LOHSEP) will be participating in two upcoming applications for mitigation projects. The eligible activities for these projects will be Acquisition (purchase) and Elevation.

In order to participate in either application, Homeowners must obtain the information packet and submit the required documentation according to the deadlines that will be listed below.

          First deadline: Thursday August 31st.
          Second deadline: Thursday November 30th.
          No late exceptions will be made for the available applications.

Please note, submittal of the required documentation does not guarantee participation in either application. Participation will be determined based on eligibility and quantity of homes available.
Eligibility Requirements include, but are not limited to:

          Structure must have flooded at least once in the last 10 years (with record of claim).
          An effective flood insurance policy is required to participate.
          Flooded structure must be remaining.
          Owner must own the property the structure is located on.

If your home is not included in either application, your information will remain on file for future availability.

Homeowners to be included in either application will receive further instruction upon notification.
The two forms included in the information packet must be mailed to: P.O. Box 1060 Livingston, LA 70754 by the given deadline.
